All.City.King!?
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk(BRC) is currently and will forever be my favorite game. To start, I'd like to mention how phenomenal the music is, the groovy variety of beats that mixes bits of EDM, Hip-Hop, and Breakbeat. My top three songs include I Wanna Kno, Light Switch, and Two Days Off; at least one of these songs will get you moving or bobbing you your head. BRC was inspired by the 2000's sega game "Jet Set Radio" and "Jet Set Radio Future", it's heavily influenced by the groovy music, gameplay and cel-shaded art style (which I freaking love.)

developer: Team Reptile
"The player controls a member of a youth gang, the Bomb Rush Crew, as they use inline skates, skateboards, and bicycles to traverse the fictional city of New Amsterdam, spraying graffiti, challenging rival gangs, and evading authorities to control all five boroughs of the city.[1] The cel-shaded art style, music, general gameplay, and aesthetic all draw heavy inspiration from the 2000s video games Jet Set Radio and Jet Set Radio Future, published by SEGA for their Dreamcast and Microsoft's Xbox consoles, respectively. The music for the game is composed by various indie artists, as well as notably including several tracks from Hideki Naganuma, the composer for the Jet Set Radio series."

movement.and.tech
The movement and techniques in this game are so smooth and fluid it's almost mesmerising. The main mechanics are driven by tricks/attacks, sliding, mounting, and boosting. There are 3 riding styles which include skateboarding, BMXing, and rollerblading; each style has 4 unique set of tricks which can be done on ground or mid-air including a booster-combined trick.

Booster tricks combine regular tricks with the boostpack given to the player at the start of the game. Its benifical for increasing speed while preventing your combo from dropping (also looks sick when you do it).

Combos are simple to understand but becomes difficult to maintain when attempting smoother transitions between tricks. There are a few ways you can keep your combo from dropping such as using booster tricks to keep momentum even on uphill slopes, manuals are especially important when your in open space (no rails, poles, or billboards), and multipliers which mulitply your combo score by turning with corners or using billboards.
