Akuma is the embodiment of the darkness that lives in the fighting spirit. The evil of the Sastui no Hado augments his movements to make his attacks far more damaging. In addition, Akuma has perfected several forbidden maneuvers, including his trademark: the terrible and destructive Shun Goku Sastu, also known as the Raging Demon.

Ryu's Ansatsuken training gave him a deep understanding of his own combat energy. Allowing him to master the Hadoken, Shoryuken, and Tatsumaki Senpukyaku manuveuvers. After he thought Gouken was dead, Ryu strngthened his body and spirit to create an evern more powerful Hadoken.
